Clare Island's old light has been converted into a bed and breakfast, and it was one of the last stops I made while finishing the Atlantic Light book. A fitting place to wind down a long project. From the air, the building looks impossibly perched. Those dark rock walls drop near vertical into the Atlantic, with sea stacks and broken reef taking the full force of the swell below.
